Beso Media’s Favorite Social Media Moments
First, there was the telephone, then the fax machine, and then social media, a revolutionary way of communicating. Since its creation, people have been able to connect with each other like never before. Friends and family can connect at any moment, and marketers have been able to reach consumers in an entirely new fashion. Because of its impact on society over the years, Social Media Day was born on June 30, and it has continued to grow in popularity ever since.
Favorite Social Media Moments
Many businesses use Social Media Day as an opportunity to compile lists of some of their favorite social media moments. At Beso Media, we spend a ton of hours on all the different social media platforms. If not for ourselves, for our clients. So of course we know of all the social media trends, challenges, and changes that have been happening throughout the years. With that being said, let’s take you through a couple of our favorite social media moments.
Our marketing team started us off strong by reminding us of the Musically and Vine era. In many people’s words, “Musically and Vine walked, so TikTok could run.”
And if we are talking about Vine and Musically, we cannot leave out YouTube. Better yet, the point in time when everyone was pranking each other on YouTube.
Another moment that we cannot forget is when nearly every company was doing the Jerusalem challenge. Thank you for that reminder, Susann.
And now onto some of our favorite moments on Instagram. Let’s start it off with a moment of silence for when Instagram was actually a photo app, as opposed to what is has become now. We definitely miss those days.
Something else we miss? 5 Minute Finesse with Dj Dreas, during COVID. That was peak entertainment and an amazing thing to come out of COVID.
Our Social Media Managers favorite social media moment is a trending video, which just makes sense. Specifically when the premier of the movie ‘Tjipangandjara’ was trending.
One of our favorite apps in the office, at the moment, is definitely TikTok. So we completely understand when our Finance Officer says that her favorite social media moment is joining TikTok.
Last but definitely not least, a social media moment we will have in our hearts forever is when Snapchat filters were all the rage. All of us can agree that we have a photo with the dog filter or flower crown filter tucked away somewhere in our archives.
