What our branding process looks like

Effective branding involves a deep understanding of the target audience and their needs, preferences, and values. It also involves creating a consistent and cohesive message that is reflected in all aspects of the product or company, from the visual design to the tone of voice used in marketing materials.

Our job at Beso Media is to help you reach that understanding. To equip you with all necessary assets to help you communicate your brand to your target audience.

In today’s blog post we share a detailed look at our branding process, from onboarding to costs. Everything you need to know.

Query (Initial Contact)

In you initial contact via DM, email or phone call you would indicate that you would like to rebrand, redesign your logo or develop a brand for your business.

Understanding your request, we start the process by asking you to answer questions about your business and goals. We need to get to know your business before we can quote and start on the project. Should we (client or us) have more questions, we can schedule a discovery call/meeting.

Workshop

After learning a bit about your business via the onboarding form, we schedule a 1-2 hour branding workshop in which we dive deeper into your business to determine core values, goals, brand messaging and more.

The workshop is an immersive experience that helps our clients define their brand identity, develop a clear and compelling message to create a consistent and memorable brand experience for their customers.

Here is everything we cover in the workshop:

  1. Brand Strategy: We begin by exploring the company's mission, values, and goals to define its brand strategy. This involves identifying the target audience, understanding the competition, and determining the unique selling proposition (USP) of the brand.

  2. Brand Positioning: Once the brand strategy is established, we then focus on defining the brand's positioning. This involves creating a positioning statement that clearly articulates what the brand stands for and how it's different from its competitors.

  3. Brand Messaging: We then have our client participate in exercises to develop brand messaging that resonates with the target audience. This may involve creating a brand story, identifying key messages and benefits, and developing a brand voice and tone.

  4. Visual Identity: The workshop may also focus on the visual elements of the brand, such as the logo, color palette, and typography. This may involve creating mood boards, exploring different design options, and developing a brand style guide.

  5. Brand Experience: Finally, we look at how the brand can deliver a consistent and compelling experience across all touchpoints, including the website, social media, packaging, and advertising. This may involve brainstorming ways to enhance the customer experience, identifying opportunities for brand partnerships, and developing brand guidelines for employees and partners.

Brand Proposal

By now our designers have gathered everything they need to work on a concept. The designers then go off to develop two concepts using everything that was determined in the workshop.

The proposal would include positing statements, values, brand tone & messaging, logo concept, fonts, colour palette, mock up of the branding in real life- business stationery, adverts etc.

Client will have 1 week to review and provide feedback on which concept they would like to go with, if there are any changes, thoughts, additions etc. There are then two rounds of revision.

Deliverables

After client approves the concept they like (or love) we then go ahead and prepare the deliverables.

Which includes:

  1. Brand Identity Design: This includes the creation of a brand logo, color palette, typography, and other visual elements that will be used consistently across all marketing materials.

  2. Brand Style Guide: A comprehensive guide that outlines the use of brand elements, such as color codes, fonts, and logo guidelines, and provides instructions on how to use them.

  3. Marketing Collateral: This includes the design of marketing materials such as business cards, letterheads, brochures, flyers, and any other print or digital marketing material.

For an added fee:

  • Website design and development: The creation of a website that is visually consistent with the brand identity and reflects the brand's messaging and personality.

  • Social media assets: This includes the creation of branded social media profiles, cover images, and other visual assets that can be used across different social media platforms.

  • Brand launch plan: This includes a comprehensive plan for launching the brand to the target audience, including media outreach, events, and other promotional activities.

Our branding costs start from N$ 4500, a quotation is usually sent after you have filled in the form.
