ChatGPT, and why everyone is talking about it.

In recent years, ChatGPT has become a valuable tool for marketers and social media teams. ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI that is capable of generating human-like text in response to a prompt. Marketers and social media teams are using ChatGPT in a variety of ways to improve their marketing and customer engagement efforts.

One way that marketers and social media teams are using ChatGPT is to generate content for their social media accounts. ChatGPT can generate content in a variety of formats, including text, images, and videos. Marketers and social media teams can use ChatGPT to generate posts, captions, and even entire campaigns. This can save time and resources, while also ensuring that the content is high-quality and engaging.

Another way that marketers and social media teams are using ChatGPT is to improve their attempts at customer engagement. ChatGPT can be used to create chatbots that can interact with customers in a conversational manner. Chatbots can be programmed to answer frequently asked questions, provide recommendations, and even make sales. Chatbots can provide customers with a personalized and efficient experience, while also freeing up staff to focus on more complex tasks.

Marketers and social media teams are also using ChatGPT to analyze social media trends and sentiment. ChatGPT can analyze social media data and generate insights into what topics are trending, what customers are talking about, and how they feel about certain products or services. This information can be used to develop marketing strategies that are more effective and targeted.

Did you know?

During its training, ChatGPT was exposed to a vast amount of internet data, including online comments, forum posts, and social media content. As a result, it has picked up some quirks and habits from the internet, such as using memes and internet slang in its responses.

ChatGPT is being used to develop more effective advertising campaigns. It can generate ad copy that is more engaging and persuasive, as well as suggest target audiences and ad placements based on social media data analysis. This allows us to explore the types of AI that there are.

Types of AI

If completely broken up, there are over 7 types of AI. However, we will be focusing on the 4 main types of AI. These main AI types are reactive AI, limited memory AI, theory of mind, and self-aware AI. The first two types belong to a category known as ‘narrow AI’ or AI that is trained to perform a specific or limited range of tasks. The last two types have yet to be achieved and belong to a category known as ‘strong AI’.

Reactive AI

This is the most basic type of AI. It is programmed to provide a predictable answer, based on the information it receives. This AI responds to identical situations in the exact same way and it is unable to learn actions. As convenient as reactive AI is, it isn’t always reliable because it is incapable of dealing with scenarios that include imperfect information or information that requires historical understanding.

Limited Memory AI

Limited memory AI is described as a learning machine that extracts knowledge from previously learned information, facts, stored data, or events. Using this data to make better predictions in the future. This type of AI is capable of complex tasks such as self-driving cars. However, it is still vulnerable to adversarial examples, these are inputs to machine learning models that an attacker has purposely designed causing the model to make a mistake. This is the current state of AI.

Theory of Mind

This kind of AI is derived from the psychological term, which means that people have thoughts, feelings, and emotions that affect their behaviour. This means that future AI systems must learn to understand that everyone (both people and AI objects) have thoughts and feelings. This AI is currently under development and aims to recognize, simulate, monitor, and respond appropriately to human emotion by analysing voice, image, and other kinds of data. Theory of mind AI is meant to understand motive and intent, and is therefore the next milestone in AI evolution.

Self-aware AI

This will be when machines are not only aware of emotions and mental states of others, but also their own. When self-aware AI is achieved we would have AI that has human-level consciousness and equals human intelligence with the same needs, desires and emotions. It is highly possible that their intelligence can surpass ours and many are saying that that is a scary thought.

This language model has been in the hot seat in trending marketing tools. So naturally, we had to try it for ourselves. We gave ChatGPT a prompt and it gave us an answer. Take a look…

Prompt; How can Beso Media, as a creative media agency, improve social media engagement?

Response; Social media engagement is a critical aspect of any creative agency's digital marketing strategy. By creating engaging content, posting frequently, using social media listening tools, engaging with the audience, leveraging influencers, and utilizing paid advertising, creative agencies like Beso Media can improve their social media engagement and stay competitive in their industry.

Overall, ChatGPT is proving to be a valuable tool for marketers and social media teams. Its ability to generate high-quality content, interact with customers, analyze data, and develop effective marketing strategies is making it an essential part of the marketing toolkit. However, it is important to note that while ChatGPT can automate many tasks, having a human touch and overseeing its use is still important.
